I have suffered severe eczema since birth with regular flare-ups every year and constant itching. I have been prescribed steroids by my GP and hospital dermatologists (topical and oral steroids)and antihistamines for my entire life and long-term usage of the steroids has thinned out my skin. I’ve tried practically every medicated skincare brand on the market also and I have never felt instant soothing relief until I began using the Essentials range – both hand and body. What amazed me was that even when I have an extreme flare-up with blistered seeping skin, I can still actually apply the body cream without any stinging sensation and after regular use I have seen one particular skin bump (which I had for nearly a year) disappear fully and my extra dry skin is now much softer. I do still get eczema as you can never cure it, however it is much more manageable and I have reduced my usage of steroids significantly. The hand wash and hand cream are lifesavers too as I am constantly washing or sterilising my hands and these products have managed to keep severe eczema at bay and my hands are now lovely and soft. I decant the hand cream into a smaller bottle to have in my handbag so it would be great if there were handbag sized bottles of Essentials Hand Cream too 😉 Thank you Pestle & Mortar for creating such wonder-products to help calm down my eczema!!
