Why should I not apply Recover to my upper lid?

The recommendation is that eye cream is patted gently from the very outer corner of the orbital bone inwards towards the nose. The reason for this is that as the skin around the eye area is extremely thin, the cream migrates with body temperature upwards to and across to the thinnest areas. If eye cream is applied to the upper lid, there is more risk of it entering the eye and causing irritation.
