Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant, known for its ability to reduce hyperpigmentation and even out skin tone. With consistent use, it visibly reduces the appearance of dark spots and brightens the complexion.
Although vitamin C can be used morning and/or evening, we recommend introducing it into your routine mornings only, and building up usage as required. And remember – even though vitamin C provides additional protection from the sun, you still need a broad spectrum sunscreen. With both vitamin C and retinol, it’s a good idea to let the product sink into the skin for a few minutes before layering on other products.
Vitamin C should be applied after cleansing and toning, but before moisturising and sunscreen. This allows the product to penetrate the skin and get to work effectively.
